Allison Shichen Du is currently a MPhil candidate in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (China Studies), the Faculty of Arts at the University of Hong Kong. Born in Northeast China, she finished her undergraduate degree with first honor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration, the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Hong Kong in 2020. Her research areas focus on ethnic tourism in Northeast China, grassroot-official relationship within cultural heritage management, food studies, and cultural sociology of ethnic identity. She also has work experience as the communication coordinator of The French Center for Research on Contemporary China (CEFC).
